You might have noticed that Active Wellness recently made headlines when our work on innovation was highlighted in the Wall Street Journal. We have been working hard this past year on building an environment, both physical and virtual, that gives the organization a sandbox to field test bleeding-edge and neoteric health and fitness technology.
Our efforts through the Active Idea Lab are helping wellness visionaries pioneer their services and products. Giving these endeavors access to our expertise also means Active stays on top of the latest trends while making early relationships with the people that will inevitably positively impact and disrupt our space in the future.
Innovation has always been a part of Active’s DNA. We were an early partner of Perkville (a rewards platform), we were one of the first to field test MYZONE (a fitness wearable). We are currently working with GymFarm (an innovative mobile app) to be their first partner on the MINDBODY platform, and are getting ready to help Expresso (exergaming bikes) field test a new form of fitness delivery.
Lastly, we are making waves with a new company called Tinoq. Tinoq is a well-funded startup using state-of-the-art facial recognition to completely map and document member engagement within the club environment. By tracking club usage at the member level, Tinoq is able to offer club operators wall-to-wall member engagement analytics, providing managers a comprehensive club business intelligence tool that enables them to optimize operations like never before.
