This summer, we launched The ZONE at Calhoun Beach Club, an athletic-inspired small group training program using heart rate technology exclusive to Active. The ZONE at Calhoun Beach Club consists of three different components; small group training centered around an indoor running track, ZONE Cycle, and a group fitness program in the main studio allowing members to monitor their heart rate while engaging in a class environment.

As we approach the long weekend and are experiencing extreme warm weather, many are opting for more pool time. And there are parts of the country where we are in the water at all times, like here in Florida, or you may have an indoor pool at your facility. Below are a few resources to help you keep your cool if you ever experience a water emergency. Living in Florida, on the water with a pool and two small kids, I'm a bit obsessed with water safety. I also lifeguarded for Disney in the past and saved far too many people. I'm passionate about water safety and reminders and wanted to share some resources with you.
A healthy and productive workforce is something every organization strives for. Traditionally, the way to achieve this goal is to provide wellness programs for employees that focus on outcomes, biometrics, assessments, and other aspects which emphasize only the physical health of the employee. Of course, a healthy body will positively impact your employees in numerous ways, and may even prompt the increase in productivity you are looking for, but is it enough to sustain and retain your employees? Will taking a health assessment year after year result in healthier employees?

We have been working hard this past year on building an environment, both physical and virtual, that gives the organization a sandbox to field test bleeding-edge and neoteric health and fitness technology.
- 3 nectarines, chopped
