Jill Kinney is considered an industry leader in the world of health and fitness and earned her title as “America’s Number One Female Entrepreneur.” Jill received a Distinguished Service Award from the International Health Racquet and Sportsclub Association (IHRSA) and has been inducted into the Wellness Revolution Hall of Fame. As the Founder of Club One, she built her fitness club dream into a $95 million dollar business with over 2,500 employees and 100 clubs throughout the US. In 2014, Jill and partners Bill McBride and Carey White founded Active Wellness and acquired the majority of Club One's assets, restructuring the company into one of the country’s leading integrated fitness services companies.
In addition to co-founding Active Wellness with partners Jill Kinney and Carey White, Bill McBride leads all business operations for the company. He is a health club and wellness leader with over 25 years of experience leading and managing all aspects of commercial health clubs, medical fitness centers, residential, community, multi-tenant and corporate fitness sites. Bill has served as Chairman of the International Health, Racquet & Sportsclub Association (IHRSA) Board of Directors, President of the Mid-Atlantic Club Management Association (MACMA) and served on the Industry Advisory Board for the American Council of Exercise (ACE). He is actively engaged as an author on industry education, serves on several fitness-related technology company Advisory Boards, serves on the Medical Wellness Association (MWA) and Medical Fitness Network (MFN) Advisory Boards and speaks regularly on industry topics throughout the world.
Together with Jill Kinney and Bill McBride, Carey White co-founded Active Wellness and currently serves on Active’s board and as its CFO. He has worked with Jill and Bill on health and fitness industry projects for over 15 years. Carey also serves as chairman of the Feeding Your Kids Foundation, which operates an international program that teaches parents how to feed their children healthier, and as the chairman of the audit committee of Landmark Infrastructure Partners LP, a real estate and infrastructure company (NASDAQ: LMRK). Carey received a BA from Stanford University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive) in the state of California.
