Screen Shot 2020-01-27 at 2.15.30 PMTwo fast-growing fitness technology trends that we’re bound to see more of in this new decade are virtual trainers and recovery technology. Active’s Chief Digital Officer, Dr. Mike Rucker, spoke with the editor at EverydayHealth about smart yoga mats, interactive mirrors, virtual reality rowing machines, and the growing interest for products that help the body recover safely, quicker.

“These pieces of tech are allowing people to recover in ways that amplify the powers of renewal in ways that we haven’t seen before,” said Rucker.  For example, the Hyperice Hypervolt is a hair-dryer-sized machine that sends slow or rapid bursts of pressure to relieve muscle soreness, help with range of motion and circulation, and speed workout recovery.
