Now is the perfect time to begin that vegetable or herb garden you’ve always wanted. From the comfort and relaxation of gardening to the satisfaction of enjoying the fruits of your labor it’s a no brainer to be growing your own herbs and/or vegetables. What are your favorite herbs and veggies? Not too confident in your abilities, no worries. Most are relatively simple to grow at home. We recommend starting with herbs like cilantro, parsley, rosemary, chives and thyme. Herbs are a nice way to start as they do not need much space to grow, perfect for a window or balcony planter. Maintained and healthy these plants will continue to produce as you harvest, allowing you to be set with fresh herbs all season long.

Want to take the next step, let’s grow some veggies. First up, cherry tomatoes and small peppers. These plants will require more space than our herbs. Outdoor space is needed, either a balcony, deck or backyard. We’ll have to be more patient and wait longer to harvest compared to our herb garden, but the bounty will be plentiful. Before you know it, you’ll be whipping up salads, salsas like never before all freshly grown and prepared you! How cool is that?

With lots of resources online to explore different herb and vegetable varieties, we recommend starting small and low maintenance. Be sure to tag us and share pics along the way, we’d love to see how things are growing and what you’re making!
