For the past 7 years, Zebra Technologies has participated in Great Cycle Challenge to fundraise for cancer research and to cycle all around the World. Active Wellness manages the Club Z onsite fitness centers in Lincolnshire, IL and Holtsville, NY, supporting these fundraising efforts and events.
The Great Cycle Challenge is the primary fundraiser for the Children’s Cancer Research Fund and is held every September. Participants set their own fundraising and riding goals and can cycle anywhere, anytime during September. To date, the Zebra Technologies team has raised over $277,000 and ridden over 91,000 miles. This year alone the team raised over $119,000 and rode 25,000 miles.
Club Z Fitness Centers partner with Zebra Gives, their philanthropy and volunteerism group, to build the team and promote activities throughout the month. Some of the activities have been a month-long Peloton Challenge, local group rides, and Kick Cancer’s Butt Day where funds are matched up to 100% by The Great Cycle Challenge.
Each year, Zebra sponsors a Zebra branded cycling jersey designed by Club Z for riders who reach a combination of a certain number of miles ridden and dollars raised. Some riders have the entire collection and riders can easily spot other Zebra employees riding on local trails.
